Congratulations to Sarah Klausing, RN, honored at the May 7 Lake Health Nurses’ Gala as our 2019 Nurse of the Year!
Sarah is a nurse in the West Surgical Unit and has been with Lake Health for more than three years.
Colleagues agree that her love of nursing shines through in all she does. Sarah treats everyone – patients, family members and fellow team members – with the utmost respect. She’s a leader with strong clinical skills, and she uses her knowledge to pursue improvements in patient care.
Why does Sarah come to
work each day?
“The desire to help people is what sparked my interest in nursing,” says Sarah. “As I gained experience, I grew to appreciate how a career in nursing gave me a sense of purpose. We care for people having great days, people having the worst day of their life and everything in between. Knowing that I make a positive difference in my patients’ lives keeps me going and makes me enjoy what I do.”
